Job Summary
The MA is responsible for a variety of tasks, with a heavy emphasis on proper documentation.
The MS's main duties include rooming patients, medicine reconcilliation, EKG's, and potential chart preparation prior to visits and accurately entering data into the electronic medical record.
Job Duties
· DOE/eventually Complete chart prep for all providers and locations.
· Room patients (vitals, EKG, medication reconciliation) and prepare the encounter for all providers for in person visits.
· Call patients for medication reconciliation and assist them in logging on to Doxy.
me for video appointments.
· Possibly assist in closing patient charts
· Contact patients for prior to next orders (labs, imaging)
· DOE Perform INR checks.
· Place cardiac monitors on patients, provide detailed instructions on how to wear/use the monitor, register monitor to Preventice/Zio, create encounter with report in Practice Fusion for LSL to read
· Prepare and transport travel bag for outreach clinic.
· Receive messages/documents from everyone in clinic to discuss with Dr.
Lance or appropriate provider and then provide answer to patient or appropriate person
· Collect all test results and lab results to review for urgent results with appropriate provider
· DOE Discuss prescription options (samples, copay/discount cards) with patients when needed
· Assist the other scribes with questions/chart prep/closing charts/looking up results when needed.
· Assist the receptionists with questions, phone calls, checking in/checking out patients when needed.
· Assist with faxes, scan folder, and recall list when needed.
· Orient new medical students/residents.
· Help direct medical students/residents’ movements through patients throughout the day.
· Perform misc.
clinical tasks as directed by Clinic Director.
Job Requirements
*Physical: *Able to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 10 pounds.
Able to sit/stand at desk for extended periods of time.

*Education: *High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous medical assisting experience preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology preferred, but not required.

Pay: $12.
00 - $19.
00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
