HR Compliance Specialist (Project Hire) - (20538)
DESCRIPTION
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a HR Compliance Specialist to fill a Project Hire role lasting approximately two years.
Reporting to the Human Resource and Diversity (HR&D) Compliance Manager, you will help review and interpret policies, procedures, and legal guidance while identifying solutions to areas of non-compliance.
This team works a 9x80 schedule out of our Idaho Falls offices with every other Friday off.
Remote or Hybrid work opportunities may be available for this position.
Responsibilities Include: Identify and account for Idaho National Laboratory (INL) HR&D interests.
Ensuring compliant operations, programs and procedures are according to federal requirements and contractual obligations.
Facilitate integration of requirements management for HR&D.
Manage the Requirements Management tool for HR&D and work with HR&D managers and SMEs to maintain an up-to-date list of Program Requirement Owners and Functional requirement Leads.
Assist Managers in identification and parsing all HR&D (directives, regulatory) requirements in the lab-wide requirements tool.
Ensure an risk-based approach is used in assessing HR& D operations, procedures, and activities against laws, regulations, executive orders, prime contract, and internal policies and best practices.
Support all areas of Performance Assurance (i.
e.
performing assessments, self-assessment coordination, issues management, cause analysis, corrective action plan development, regulatory screening, lessons learned coordination, performance assurance metrics/trending, reporting), requirements, audit support, audit facilitation, HR Compliance Program Management responsibilities and several other projects related to these tasks.
Work with HR&D program SMEs to ensure identification/initiation of requirements, implementation, ongoing evaluation, and organizational health results, including locating, reading, and understanding employment regulations and policy interpretation.
Evaluate policies and procedures throughout HR&D for compliance to requirements.
Identify solutions to issues or areas of non-compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Compliance, Legal Studies, Business Management, or related field with 2-5+ years of experience OR Master's degree and 1-3+ year of experience Experience with locating, reading, and understanding employment regulations, interpreting policy, and self audits within an HR, Compliance, Paralegal, or Legal scope Job Information: Salary Grade: PR0200 - 190 ($72,528 - $119,652) / PR0300 - 210 ($95,928 - $158,232) You are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
